Social networking has many pros and cons, it is mainly dependent on who is using it and how it is being used. It can be used to guide you or you can rely on it. Teens will eventually engage the online community in some time in their life. Since it has expanded out to many platforms, it will be very hard to avoid. The Internet is now used in classrooms, libraries, work places and many more locations. It is accessible by almost anyone with an electronic device. Teens throughout high school will have had some sort of access to the Internet. Considering how much it is being used for classes, it will be very hard to continue throughout school without it. Social media has been integrated so much into our lives that it has created “the new way of life”. It is very hard to compare the time when social media did not exist and now. Imagining a life without Internet is very hard, technology is advancing more and more every day and most of it is because of social media. Future generations will have to live in a new way. Although it can be addictive, there are ways of controlling how much you use social media to make sure it doesn’t take over your life. As children continue to grow, they will soon have to experience some type of networking and it is our job to teach them how to do it right.
